This
is a special edition of Steadfast which gives the latest news about
activities that various English organisations have undertaken on behalf
of the English community. It also carries appeals for donations to help
those organisations and provide support for the volunteers who give
their time, skill and energy to the cause.
In addition, we have set out background information on the standing
of the English in law, and an outline of the terms used and why it is
important to use them correctly. It might not be easy to take it all
in at first reading but if you make the effort to understand it you
will see how our identity is recognised in law, and how ‘outsiders’
are sidestepping the law and defining English in a way that suits their
political objectives. When that knowledge has spread through our community
we will be well equipped to tackle those who wish to deny our existence
and our rights.
